We are proud that the City-Center Tilburg project has been nominated for the Jaarprijs 2023. Between 2016 and 2022, the central shopping area in Tilburg was transformed from an unpopular and dull part of the city into a vibrant and vital downtown with a diverse mix of functions.
The right, strong combination of shopping, living, hospitality, leisure, and greenery is a key success factor in the plan, creating new reasons for visitors to come to the city center. City-Center Tilburg is not only a successful and inspiring project, but also one of the largest recent inner-city redevelopments in the 7th largest city in the Netherlands.
The new heart of Tilburg was realized in record time, with a focus on transformation and renovation without adding new space. All parties involved took risks and made significant investments in revitalizing, greening, and future-proofing the city center. This is truly a unique collaboration between the partners, characterized by keywords such as determination, entrepreneurship, and courage.
