Yesterday, the festive completion of CityPromenade was celebrated: 452 sustainable homes across four residential buildings in City Nieuwegein. With an impressive light show and the symbolic handover of the buildings and land to alderman @Marieke Schouten, an important new chapter for the city was ushered in.
The project, developed by NEOO and Koopmans Bouwgroep, offers an inclusive mix of social housing, mid-rent homes, private-sector rentals and owner-occupied apartments. Designed by Rijnboutt, it features nature-inclusive rooftop gardens, waterfront hospitality venues, and a green central courtyard.
During the handover, NEOO and Koopmans presented a donation to @Stichting Proxima as a gesture of their commitment to the city.
