In the heart of Rotterdam next to the Market Hall, an impressive milestone has been reached: the erection of the two tower cranes is a fact! On the Binnenrotte side now stands a crane of 85 meters high and on the Grotemarkt one of 72 meters. Using a 500-tonne mobile crane, they have been erected, making Van Herk Groep, NEOO and the construction combination of Dura and JP van Eesteren now prominently visible in the middle of the city.
While the foundations are being hard at work in the construction pit, these two eye-catchers in Rotterdam’s skyline mark the next phase in the realization of RottaNova. An ambitious inner-city mixed-use project that contributes to the further densification and functional blending of Rotterdam’s inner city.
