The signing of the contracting agreement marks an important step in the realization of Nimwest in Nijmegen. On Wednesday 18 June, client Van Herk Groep and Koopmans Bouwgroep | TBI signed the contracting agreement for this inner-city mixed-use development next to Nijmegen railway station.
A fully-fledged station entrance is rising on the west side of the station, developing this site into a lively, high-quality gateway to the city. On the former UWV site in the Nijmegen Station District, NEOO is developing a plan commissioned by van Herk Groep and designed by WRK Architects with an urban mix of functions: 452 homes, 154 short-stay apartments, commercial spaces for hospitality and retail and 121 parking spaces. The project is part of the high-rise structure in Nijmegen and contributes to a future-proof and accessible urban environment. Construction is scheduled to start after the summer.
