With the signing of the construction contract, an important step has been taken toward realizing Nimwest in Nijmegen. On Wednesday, June 18, client Van Herk Groep and Koopmans Bouwgroep | TBI signed the construction contract for this inner-city mixed-use development next to Nijmegen station.
On the west side of the station, a fully-fledged station entrance will rise, transforming this location into a vibrant, high-quality gateway to the city. On the former UWV site in Nijmegen’s Station District, NEOO is developing—on behalf of Van Herk Groep and based on a design by WRK Architecten—a plan with an urban mix of functions: 452 homes, 154 short-stay apartments, commercial spaces for hospitality and retail, and 121 parking spaces. The project is part of the high-rise structure in Nijmegen and contributes to a future-proof and accessible urban environment. Construction is scheduled to start after the summer.
