On April 3, 2023, the newly renovated Sterrenburg was officially opened. Over the past period, the center has been transformed from a functional shopping mall into a true Full Service Center!
Wereldhave and NEOO have renovated and transformed Sterrenburg Shopping Center into a Full Service Center. This morning, the center was festively opened by Wereldhave CCO Pieter Polman, the chairman of the retailers’ association Jan-Willem Lemkes, and Alderman Tanja de Jonge.
Following the completion of the new Jumbo Foodmarkt in early 2022, intensive work was carried out last year to renovate the rest of the center. Designed by SUM Architecten, the building was renovated by contractor Retail Bouw Nederland.
The center has been made more sustainable with roof insulation, solar panels, and a connection to the district heating network. Additionally, the center has been updated with new ceilings, facades, lighting, green exterior walls, and an additional parking deck. Wereldhave’s own fresh market street, Every.Deli, has also been added, and new entrances have been created.
